Plan the right replacement for your spreadsheet
The assessment is the first step for every project. We review the spreadsheet, understand how it is used and agree what the new app should do. From a repetitive task for one person to an important operational process for a team, we recommend a scope in proportion to the work.
The £295 assessment price is taken off your bill before VAT when you go ahead. If the full amount cannot be used at once, the rest stays on your account for a later invoice. It is not refundable for cash.
Most assessments are completed within 2-3 working days after we receive payment and your spreadsheet.
What we review
- What the spreadsheet controls and how it fits into the working day
- Who enters, changes, approves and reports on the data
- The calculations, rules and outputs that must be retained
- Problems with speed, sharing, remote access, security or manual work
- Missing features such as forms, summaries, alerts and links to other tools
What you receive
- A clear list of what the new app needs to do
- A plan showing what we will build and when
- A recommendation from Essentials, Business, Scale or ownership
- A clear price and next steps before the build begins
This is planning your new app, not a technical Excel report
We need to understand the useful calculations and rules in the workbook. The assessment focuses on how your team works, what the new app should do and whether replacing the spreadsheet is worthwhile. If the spreadsheet should stay as it is, we will tell you.
What happens next
1. Quick fit check
Tell us what the spreadsheet does and see where a replacement could help before paying.
2. Share your file securely
Create your private account and upload the workbook so the assessment is grounded in the real process.
3. Book when you are ready
See exactly what the £295 assessment includes, then pay securely to begin the specialist review.
Clear costs before you decide
Hosted plans are billed monthly with a 12-month initial term. Third-party subscriptions, paid integrations, usage charges, upgraded infrastructure, licences and similar external costs require your approval and are invoiced separately from the plan.
See whether your spreadsheet is a good fit
Start with a short fit check. There is no payment until you have seen where a replacement could help.
